Can you say time warp!? Yes, it has been just over a year and we are now officially on the road again to finish what we were unable to complete last year. Coles notes version of our trip last year had us drive from Winnipeg to Vancouver Island for Jiff & Candace's wedding, and then we drove south along the ocean as much as possible taking the Pacific Coast highway. We ran out of time just after entering California and getting to Crescent City so we had to turn around and come back home.
So today we packed up and left the city around 3 .. heading to the farm to drop off Oscar and pick up Nuvi. We also enjoyed our last home cooked meal for the next 2 weeks before getting back in the car and heading west. We crossed the border just south of Cartwright and drove through Hansboro. Once again we headed west .. driving through Bottineau and continuing to our first stop - Minot. We debated camping the first night, but by the time we found the nearest campground it was rather late so we backtracked to the Super 8. Providing a government employee card saved us 10$ american (or 10.20$ Canadian).
Anyhow, the plan is to get up in good time and get back on the road - heading to Crescent City California.
